Shared moments before bedtime gave rise to a world of friendship, imagination, and adventure—one that we would love to share with you today.
Wuschl became Wumi!
Sometimes, a great journey begins quite cozily at home. For the WUMI-WORLD, it all started with the evenings I spent telling bedtime stories to my son, Noah. As familiar tales gradually evolved into our own unique adventures, a little raccoon claimed a very special place in them.
He was inspired by Noah’s favorite stuffed animal, Wuschl—a loyal companion during playtime, travels, and drifting off to sleep. From this inspiration, WUMI was born: curious, helpful, and eager to explore. In our stories, he was free to try new paths, ask questions, and experience the wonderful feeling of having friends by his side.
With each passing evening, his world expanded a little more. A new mystery would suddenly await around a bend in the forest path, a cozy treehouse would take shape among the trees, and a small idea would blossom into the next adventure. WUMI didn’t stay alone for long, either; HOPSI, MUCKI, and EDDI joined the group, bringing their own talents, funny ideas, and little quirks along with them.
What began as shared time between father and son is something we now want to share with other families: moments for cuddling and reading aloud, for drawing and solving puzzles, and for continuing the stories or inventing new ones. That is why WUMI-WORLD keeps growing with stories, books, and creative ideas that invite you to embark on a journey of discovery together.
Throughout it all, we hold onto the most important elements from those early bedtime stories: the closeness shared while listening, the sense of wonder at a new idea, and the anticipation of what might happen next. We are delighted to have you join us for a part of our story.

When I invent a story with Noah, I often don't know at the beginning where it will lead us. He asks questions, contributes his own ideas, and discovers things I might have simply overlooked. A small adventure sparks a conversation, a question leads to a new idea—and sometimes his perspective on the world shows me something I, as an adult, have long forgotten.
That's precisely why I invest so much time in our stories. This time is a part of our shared childhood memories. I want to listen to Noah, get to know his imagination, and accompany him as he develops his own thoughts. I want to learn with him, try new things, and even discover together that we don't yet know the answer. As Noah grows, I grow with him as a father.
Many of these thoughts find their place in the WUMI-WORLD. WUMI, HOPSI, MUCKI, and EDDI are allowed to be curious, make mistakes, need help, and try again. They don't have to be able to do everything to contribute to an adventure. Everyone brings something unique to the table, and often the best ideas only emerge when they listen to each other.
Noah and I want to share our world with others because we hope it will create similar shared moments in other families. Perhaps a read-aloud story will spark a conversation about friendship. Maybe a child will invent their own adventure while coloring. Or perhaps a family will snuggle up after a long day and consider which path the four friends should take next.
We believe that every child deserves a world full of imagination. That's why we want to create stories and creative activities that are accessible and affordable for as many families as possible. The WUMI-WORLD is meant to provide space for individual ideas, curious questions, and shared discoveries.
Our wish is that some of the joy Noah and I experience while creating will reach your homes—and continue to grow there in your own way.
Andreas – the dad behind WUMI-WELT
I’m Andreas—Noah’s dad and the mind behind WUMI-WORLD. I’m not an educator by trade. What I bring to the table are my life experiences, a love for invention, and a desire to be an attentive presence as my son grows up.
My experiences with the fire department, my work as an instructor, and various leadership roles have shaped who I am. Through them, I learned the importance of listening, taking responsibility, and being able to rely on one another. As a technician and IT enthusiast, I have a drive to understand how things work. I enjoy tinkering with solutions and exploring new possibilities—a curiosity that also flows into WUMI-WOLD.
I also love reading and drawing. It’s especially wonderful when these activities turn into shared time with Noah—like when we spin a story further, draw characters, or brainstorm what adventures WUMI and his friends might have next. Noah contributes his own ideas and questions along the way. Listening to him and seeing the world through his eyes is, for me, one of the most rewarding aspects of being a dad.
I don’t have an answer for every question, and I’m learning new things every day as a father, too. It’s important to me to take the time to try things out together and to show Noah that adults make mistakes and are allowed to learn new things, too.
WUMI-WORLD brings together many things that are close to my heart: creativity, curiosity, togetherness, and the joy of creating something together. It embodies my experiences and ideas—and so much of the time Noah and I spend with each other.
